1. Dry Seeds Thoroughly: Before storing seeds, make sure they are completely dry. Ensure there is no residual moisture on or inside the seeds, as excess moisture can cause them to rot or mold during storage.
2. Clean Seeds: Remove any remaining plant material, chaff, or debris from the seeds. Some seeds may benefit from a gentle rinse and thorough drying, especially if they have a sticky residue or are prone to fungal issues.
3. Choose the Right Containers: Use airtight containers or resealable plastic bags to store seeds. Ensure that the containers are clean and dry before placing the seeds inside. Glass jars with tight-fitting lids also work well. You can use separate containers for different seed varieties.
